Mobile media company SendMe has announced that it has acquired mbuzzy, a U.S.-based off-portal mobile community. mbuzzy provides both an online and mobile environment to let people interact and share user-generated content. With mbuzzy.com SendMe adds community and social media capabilities to its portfolio , which also includes SendMeMobile.com and SoLow.com.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With mbuzzy consumers can:
- * Share and view social media, including pictures and videos, from the Web or a mobile phone;
- * Browse and search through user-generated content shared by the mbuzzy community;
- * Stay connected with friends and groups through mbuzzy's wireless carrier and mobile device agnostic chat, messaging, alerting and media sharing services.
The mbuzzy community is home to more than half a million mobile users who have downloaded over 15 million pieces of social media to their mobile phones.
