  • Player X Bring Knight Rider Video To Mobile [10.18.07]
  • Player XMobile media company Player X and Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group have launched a series of mobile video animations based on the 1980's television show Knight Rider. Series one of Knight Rider: Turbo Boost (The animated series) consists of six three-minute "Retrosodes" inspired by the classic show.

    Player X are to produce, publish and distribute the episodes through its distribution deals with over 150 global carriers. The episodes premiere on Player X's Zapper TV channel, which recently launched on Verizon Wireless in the US, and on the company's geekTV channel internationally. The episodes are to roll out across video on demand services in Q4 2007.

    "Knight Rider retrosodes are the perfect made-for-mobile entertainment," said Jeremy Laws, Senior Vice President of Universal Mobile Entertainment. "Player X has created a product that both old and new fans of Knight Rider will enjoy and embrace."
