AOL has announced that it is to offer free mobile web-based (WAP) games, provided by New York-based Cellufun. through its mobile portal at http://wap.aol.com/games. The games are accessible through consumer's mobile web browsers and require no downloads.
The games are available now and are offered on a free, ad-supported basis. Advertising inventory is to sold by AOL's Platform-A's Third Screen Media. All of Cellufun's mobile web titles are available, including Call of the Pharaoh, Space Wars and Ice Fishing.
"We're thrilled to offer Cellufun's catalog of popular games to our mobile users," said Steve Murphy, Senior Vice President, AOL. "Games are a great complement to the robust entertainment offerings available through the AOL mobile portal."
