  • Sega Mobile Announces 2008 Line-up [04.14.08]
  • SegaSega Mobile has announced its line-up of releases for the rest of 2008, including Sonic at the Olympic Games, SEGA Columns Deluxe, Beijing 2008: The Official Mobile Phone Game of the Olympic Games, Samba de Amigo, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Crazy Taxi.

    The line-up in full:

    • Sega Columns Deluxe - Sega Columns Deluxe includes Columns and Puyo Pop with three game modes - Timed, Challenge and Endless. Sega Columns Deluxe is to be available from May 2008.
    • Beijing 2008: The Official Mobile Phone Game of the Olympic Games - Players can compete in four popular events - the 100m, Hammer Throw, 200m Freestyle Swimming and Table Tennis. The title is to be available from June 2008.
    • Sonic at the Olympic Games - As Sonic, Tails, Knuckles or Amy players can play five events including 1500m, 400m Hurdles, Triple Jump, Discus Throw and Javelin Throw. The title is to be available from June 2008.
    • Samba de Amigo - Players are to be able to use their D-Pads to shake maracas in time to the music. Samba De Amigo is set for release in September 2008.
    • Sonic Spinball - As Sonic The Hedgehog, players will go "whirling through action-packed levels of fast and furious pinball action." Sonic Spinball is to be available beginning in October 2008.
    • Medieval: Total War - Medieval: Total War is based on the strategy franchise and players are challenged to control medieval European armies and conquer their opponents, with support for both campaign and battle maps. Players must manage resources, diplomacy and population happiness. The game features a turn-based battle system and launches in September 2008.
    • Zaxxon: A mobile "reinvention" of the arcade classic space combat shooter. Zaxxon is scheduled for release in October 2008.
    • Sonic The Hedgehog 2: A conversion of the classic Genesis platform title, due for release in November 2008.
    • Crazy Taxi: In Crazy Taxi players must "rack up mega-bucks before their shift ends by picking up passengers and zipping through city streets and back alleys." Sega is developing 2D and 3D versions of Crazy Taxi to be released in December 2008.
