Gamevil has announced its new pet simulation game, My Monster Pet, in which players raise a virtual monster and watch it grow into one of 12 different forms depending on the monster's care. Five mini-games will be included, including karaoke, dancing, and a battle maze to entertain the growing monster.
Players take care of their monsters by feeding them the food they like or by rushing them to the hospital if they get sick. The game continues even when the game or phone is turned off, so the player has to periodically check on their monster's health and happiness.
Each of the 12 different forms of monsters has its own set of personality traits, and players can collect all 12 monsters. They can also send eggs to others through their mobile phones so that their friends can raise their own monster pet.
Said Gamevil Marketing Manager Stephanie Huang: "We wanted the player to be able to share the fun of My Monster Pet, so we included a feature that allows users to send monster eggs to their friends and family. What's really interesting is that when the giver sends a secret message with the egg, the receiver will not be able to view that message until the monster pet grows up and evolves."
