Singapore-based publisher Ozura Mobile has revealed Beijing Dreams, a "sport simulation game" clearly inspired by the 2008 Olympic Games. Though Ozura makes no direct mention of the Olympics license, the company seeks to enable gamers to experience the "International Sporting Event Spirit" in China.
In Beijing Dreams, players take on the role of Lei Jiang as he tries to win the affection of news reporter by proving that he has the determination of an Olympic athlete. The game features five different kinds of sports - 100 meters, hurdles, long jump, triple jump, and high jump.
Instead of racing humans, however, players will compete against Giant panda bears, a mamal native to central-western and southwestern China. The events will take place in several locations in China, including Hunan, Shanghai, Tibet, and Beijing.
Said Ozura Mobile vice president of marketing H.E. Mah: “As the world’s greatest sporting event draws near in Beijing, the market performance of sports games worth expecting, almost all of the leisure games with outstanding market performance in 2007 have something to do with sports. We are very excited about the expected impact of this game, and promise to deliver more fabulous sport games to gamers.”
