Smartphone content provider Handango announced a deal with developer and publisher EA Mobile to distribute the studio's casual games on smartphone platforms.
EA Mobile titles such as Madden NFL 08, The Sims 2, The Sims Bowling, Monopoly Here & Now, Tetris, Bejeweled, and several others are available on platforms such as Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, and Symbian UIQ through Handango's web properties and Handango's on-device client, InHand.
Handango plans to offer additional EA mobile games Europe's Symbian UIQ platform, including The Sims 2 Pets, EA Sports Fifa Manager 08, and Tetris, which will all be available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.
The smartphone content provider announced a similar partnership with Capcom in May 2008 to distribute the company's franchise-based games, such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, to North American smartphone users.
Said Handango CEO Bill Stone: "Our customers are downloading entertainment content more than any other category offering, making it clear to us we need to satisfy this growing demand, and that's why we're working with top content providers like EA Mobile to offer compelling options beyond traditional business and productivity offerings. Electronic Arts is a leader in creating innovative games for all platforms and now, through Handango, more smartphone customers globally will have access to their titles."
