  Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios announced a three-year agreement with mobile media company Player X to publish mobile games based on its PlayStation franchises, including Buzz! and Destruction Derby.
This marks the first time SCE WWS has licensed its titles to be published by a third party on mobile. Under the terms of the deal Player X will have exclusive rights to publish the two titles launching shortly in the European market.
Player X will release the mobile version of Buzz! in fall 2008, with Destruction Derby's release following in early 2009. SCE WWS will support both titles with a cross-platform marketing campaign for the PAL territories.
Said SCE WWS Europe senior vice president Michael Denny: “The creative proposals that came through from Player X were very encouraging and in line with what we are hoping to do with these two licence. We are looking forward to seeing our games reach new audiences as well as those who are already acquainted with our titles.”
