  • Capcom Consolidates European, North American Mobile Teams [10.01.08]
  •  Mobile developer and publisher Capcom interactive unified its European and North American mobile operations under a single management team, a move the company expects will better leverage its mobile offerings on a global scale and maintain product consistency cross-territory.

    The combined team will operate under consumer facing brand "Capcom Mobile," effective immediately. The new brand is designed to convey to customers and partners the business unit's offerings, as well as minimize and miscommunication in the marketplace.

    Capcom Interactive president Midori Yuasa leads the cross-territory management team, while Publishing EVP Mat Gillis will head commercial activities and Studios head Manabu Seko will manage Capcom's R&D functions in London, Toronto, and Los Angeles.

    "Moving forward we will be working towards one strategy of producing great games with strong brands to technically high standards across both Europe and North America," says Yuasa. "By combining forces, we can execute a balanced portfolio of titles on a global level, whilst maintaining a focus on providing products tailored to individual territories."
