 Publisher and developer Namco Networks announced the release of Rolling With Katamari, a mobile title based on Namco's acclaimed Katamari Damacy console series.
The game features 30 levels (some of which are exclusive to the mobile title) and five different game modes, which include Roll a Star, Roll a Color, Rock n Rolling Racing, Don’t Touch, and Roll an Object. Players have the ability to customize the game's speed by selecting normal and fast settings.
Like with the console versions, Rolling With Katamari has players rolling a sticky ball to collect objects that will be launched into space, replacing stars that were lost by the King of All Cosmos.
Namco Networks also plans to release a holiday pack in December, which will allow players to roll up Christmas trees, Santa, carolers and dreidels.
"This is a fascinatingly bizarre and addictive game that will have wide appeal to mobile gamers,” says Namco Networks' Sales and Marketing SVP Scott Rubin. "Like the console titles, Rolling With Katamari maintains a simple concept but provides an entertaining challenge in the midst of colorful imagery and a distinct soundtrack."
