Namco Networks announced the release of Brain Exercise, a casual mobile game officially tested by Dr. Ryuta Kawashima, the Japanese neuroscientist who helped develop and appears in Nintendo's Brain Age series for the Nintendo DS.
The game includes 10 categories of puzzles involving memory, logic, calculations, and visual and spatial perception. With Shape Construction, players create a target shape by combining other shapes, while the Red Minus Blue category tests players' abilities to calculate a sum based on blue negative numbers and red positive numbers.
Brain Exercise also features a personal coach who helps players compete in three different modes -- Brain Training, Brain Age, and Practice. The Brain Training Mode provides a daily training regime with three mini-games designed to stimulate the temporal, parietal, and frontal lobes.
The Brain Age mode tracks players' progress with stat tracking as they work their way towards a younger or sharper brain. During Practice Mode, players can enjoy the mini-games without having to worry about the results contributing towards their daily training.
“Namco Networks is all about delivering fun, quality games,” says Namco Networks' sales and marketing SVP Scott Rubin. "Brain Exercise makes training your brain fun. It tracks players’ daily and monthly progress, which makes it hard to put down.”
