  • Greystripe, MobilePro Partner, Gamejump Hits 1.4 Mil Downloads [12.27.06]
  • GamejumpGreystripe, the mobile in-game advertising network, has announced a partnership with MobilePro's ProGames Network, a casual gaming site, to offer its catalog of ad-supported mobile games to the ProGames audience.

As part of the partnership, ProGames will distribute over 350 free ad-supported mobile games from 40 publishers. Greystripe's catalog includes a variety of mobile games such as Dynamo Kid, BlackJack, Opal's Quest and Bowling.

"We believe that the mobile gaming platform is an important part of building a strong games portfolio to our audience," said Marty Gray, CEO of ProGames Network. "We are excited to distribute Greystripe's catalog of fun and cutting edge free mobile games through both the mobile web and online. Greystripe's AdWRAP Catalog Program provides us with a profitable advertising revenue source, which will help us expand our reach and our offerings."

Greystripe has also announced that their free ad-supported mobile games portal Gamejump has received over 1.4 million downloads in just under four months since launch, with all downloads occurring off-deck.

In 2007 Greystripe plan to continue the growth of Gamejump with support for Flash Lite and other platforms.

"Greystripe's ability to generate this level of traction within a short period of time demonstrates the viability of the ad supported mobile content economic model," stated Michael Cai, Director of Broadband & Gaming for market research firm Parks Associates.

"In early 2007 we'll release the next generation of our AdWRAP technology, including support for Flash Lite and BlackBerry games. We'll also roll out support for embedding full video players into mobile games, which will allow us to serve video and audio commercials across a much broader range of handsets. Another initiative I'm excited about is support for in-game ad formats, which will complement our existing pre- and post-roll formats. We're just at the beginning of leveraging the power of the AdWRAP technology," said co-founder and CTO Andy Choi.
